Some days on the road are just perfect.

We stopped at the real South Park Coney Island in Bailey, Colorado for a hot dog, yes that South Park! Then we picked up our Amazon packages at Whole Foods, and then pointed the Sprinter van (Huck) toward the mountains.

What happened next surprised us. At 12,000 feet with the whole range spread out in front of us we spotted moose and Rocky Mountain goats right from our campsite - and we caught this all on the GoPro! Just us, the van, and the kind of evening that reminds you exactly why you chose this life.

This is van life in Colorado at its finest.

The San Juan Mountains in fall are unlike anywhere else on earth. Golden aspens. Red rock canyons. Cool crisp air. And 20 vans gathering in the heart of it all for our first ever in person Start Your Someday community weekend.

No rigid schedule. No pressure. Your weekend entirely at your own pace surrounded by people who chose the same kind of life you did.

Here is what is waiting for you:

Sleep in. Hit the road at sunrise. Fish all day. Hike. Drive the Million Dollar Highway. Sit by the river and do absolutely nothing. There is no wrong way to spend your weekend here.

We will share daily suggestions for things to see, explore, and experience across the Durango area. Silverton. Ouray. The Million Dollar Highway at peak fall color. The San Juan River. The mountains. All of it right in your backyard for four days.

You choose what calls to you. We are just here to point you in the right direction.

Evening gatherings are completely optional. No pressure. Just good people in a good place.

Thursday — Welcome campfire. Come say hi when you are ready.
Friday — Casual campfire night. BYOF and BYOB welcome.
Saturday — Private evening at Ska Brewing. Craft beer + food and great conversation.
Sunday — Farewell on your own. Coffee and one last look at the mountains.
